These reviews make me very sad :( Unfortunately, new believers or visitors coming to the church who don't yet know much about the Bible get offended if the Pastor talks about tithing or giving that day...I can understand that......however, this church is not a "cult" or "people filled with hate" or a "joke" or "guilt trippers" - We believe in the word of God and that is what is preached here. Tithing 10% is from God's word and it is way that followers of Jesus Christ who live for the Lord give back to Him to help fund God's work and help people. The church is the hand and feet of Jesus here on earth to preach the gospel in our churches and even out on the streets !- and to serve our communities and to give/help/love people. these are principles that mature Christians come to know after spending time in God's word. .... I can understanding new people coming in, or people who are not even Christians to visit and hearing certain things (such as tithing) and being put off......but to go on line and make nasty remarks about people or accusations is not kind and it is inaccurate. ..........ANY true bible believing, bible preaching church believes in tithing- and if you stay at one long enough, and if you want to grow in your faith & relationship with the Lord, you WILL hear about it and you will want to do it. That being said, the mention of giving or tithing is only one TINY part of Revelation church! Revelation church is a place where it does not matter where you come f rom, or what your background is, where you are loved & welcomed & helped in any way possible to grow in your knowledge of God's word and in serving Christ, plus getting connected to a great group of other believers - it has extensive kids and teen programs for those age groups . the service is casual and what you will hear is the truth of God's word and worship music where you can feel the presence of God moving and people unashamed to worship Him. If tithing bothers you, stay in the word and keep growing in your faith and one day it won't. In the meantime, no, following that principal does not make a Christian bible believing church a "cult".
If you feel like being taken advantage of and guilt tripped into give 10%+ of your hard earned money. Then here is your church.

Reading the reviews......hmmm possibly the guilt trip your feeling about giving is from God and Not from the pastor? I for one love the body of believers that dwell at this church. I believe I have found my home church. If you want to hear Truth inspite of the way it makes you "feel" then Rev maybe for you. Preaching the Word of God each and every weekend. The teen ministry is out of sight!
This place is a joke. A pastor should never judge his members on how much they tithe. Cult does sum this place up. I've been behind the curtains and it's a nasty hate filled place with no God in sight. If that's what your looking for then go for it...

This is a great church for non-believers and new believers especially. They will get you plugged in to serving within the building walls right away, if you wish to. I highly encourage that! As far as some of the other reviews go, tithing 10% is completely biblical, and should not be frowned upon. Something to be wary of at this church is the lack of elders. Although the bible is unspecific as to the number of elders a church should have per capita, my wife and I felt as if the accountability for the pastor was nearly non-existent. Revelation church is closer to a "Pastor's way or the highway" type of church rather than "God's way" type of church. Overall, however, we would highly recommend Rev to many people, especially new believers.
